Head of the laboratory awarded with the Faculty Science Award

On Friday, November 20th, 2020, the Day of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb was celebrated. Numerous recognitions and awards were given to the most successful students and employees of the Faculty at the ceremony.
Head of our laboratory professor Ivana Podnar Žarko, PhD was awarded the Award for science of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb in the 1st category for employees of the Faculty in the scientific-teaching profession for exceptional achievement in research work or innovations in the previous five years, and especially for the developed distributed algorithms and applied decentralized solutions in the field of the Internet of Things.
In addition to the professor, a new member of the laboratory, Ivan Čilić, MSc, won the first prize of Ericsson Nikola Tesla for the best student work in the field of information and communication technologies for the work entitled “Scheduling the performance of Internet of Things in a distributed computing environment” derived from the thesis under the mentorship of professor Mario Kušek, PhD. Also, another member of our Department, the Department for Telecommunications, was recognized with an award.
